SHERIDAN, Wyo. (AP) - A woman has pleaded not guilty to charges related to an accident that killed a Sheridan bicyclist in May.
The Sheridan Press reports (https://bit.ly/1xnGjlz ) 34-year-old Hannah M. Terry pleaded not guilty Thursday in district court.
Terry is charged with aggravated homicide by vehicle and driving under the influence of a controlled substance causing serious bodily injury in connection with the May 31 incident.
The incident resulted in the death of 65-year-old Sheridan resident Larry Hurst and injured his wife, Sara Hurst.
Terry told officers at the scene that she had taken narcotic pain medications for a back problem.
Sara Hurst suffered broken bones in her leg and pelvis, two collapsed lungs and severe bleeding. She has since been released from a hospital in Billings.
