PROVO, Utah (AP) - Provo is asking residents to weigh in on new draft proposals of its city flag.

Mayor John Curtis is adding more choices after some residents rejected earlier versions.

Residents can now cast votes online. They have about 50 submissions to look over and choose from.

Curtis is urging viewers to be polite in their comments. He says some earlier feedback jabbed the mayor and various designs.

The mayor and local flag expert Michael Bates will review the suggestions before they choose one and pitch it to the city council.

The two-year search for a new design has drawn experts from around the world.

KSL-TV reports (https://bit.ly/THEC36) the mayor says he doesn’t have a favorite design but wants the city to choose a new one soon.
