LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming senior Mason Finley has qualified for the NCAA Championships in the discus.
At the NCAA preliminaries in Arkansas on Saturday, Finley threw the discus 197 feet, 2 inches to finish fourth in the event.
Finley is just the second UW track and field athlete ever to advance to the national meet under the current qualifying system and the first since 2010.
The men’s discus will be contested at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, on June 13.
