PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Police say they have located the remains of a woman at a northeast Portland residence where a tenant and the homeowner had disappeared.
Sgt. Pete Simpson says preliminary information indicates the body found Tuesday afternoon is that of the missing tenant, 59-year-old Renee Sandidge-Crowell. The state medical examiner will conduct an autopsy and make a positive identification.
Simpson says the homeowner, 61-year-old Gary Alan Lewis, is now sought for investigation of murder.
Police said earlier that the two, who both lived at the home, had not been seen since early Saturday morning.
