VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) - A Mississippi judge has declined to dismiss prescription drug fraud charges against a Louisiana physician whose home in Vicksburg was raided by narcotics agents in 2011.

The Vicksburg Post reports (https://bit.ly/1uGSmqP) Warren County Circuit Judge M. James Chaney ruled this week that Mississippi has jurisdiction over the case involving 74 counts of prescription forgery and a count of conspiracy against Dr. Lawrence Francis Chenier III.

The 61-year-old Chenier and Patti Carr, his girlfriend, were arrested in September of 2011. Chenier and Carr are each free on $100,000 bond.

No trial date has been set.
