GREECE, N.Y. (AP) - An upstate New York teenage girl whose disappearance sparked an Amber Alert has been arrested.

Police in the Rochester suburb of Greece tell the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle (https://on.rocne.ws/1uZynnu ) that 16-year-old Cassidy Geffert was arrested on a charge of fourth-degree grand larceny. It wasn’t clear if she had an attorney.

Geffert was found unharmed Monday in the Brockport area about 15 miles west of her home after an Amber Alert was earlier in the afternoon by New York State Police. It said the girl was taken from a Greece residence around 10 a.m. Monday.

Police did not give any other details surrounding the incident. It’s not clear if the teenager ran away or had left the home for another reason.

Police are continuing to investigate.
