WOONSOCKET, R.I. (AP) - A 61-year-old Cumberland man is accused of sitting naked in a Woonsocket park.

Police charged Denis Bessette with disorderly conduct on Saturday.

They were called to the park after a man was spotted sitting naked in some tall grass near where several children were playing.

Police say Bessette quickly put on some clothes when he realized he had been spotted. Officers stopped his car as it was leaving the park.

Bessette has no listed phone number, and it was unclear if he has hired an attorney.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in District Court on July 1.
