PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a Prescott Valley man is in custody for allegedly throwing rocks at law enforcement officers.
Prescott police say 38-year-old Miles Crane is being held in the Yavapai County Jail on suspicion of three counts of aggravated assault against law enforcement officers and one count of disorderly conduct.
Police were called about 1 a.m. Tuesday to assist a county sheriff’s deputy who was dealing with an intoxicated man in the middle of a roadway.
They say Crane was refusing to obey the deputy’s commands.
As police officers approached Crane, they say he stepped back and picked up two handfuls of rocks and threw them at the officers and deputy.
All three were struck by the rocks, but weren’t injured. Crane was arrested. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.
