CENTRAL
BASTROP: Water stained; 79-83 degrees. Black bass are fair on watermelon red soft plastics. Crappie are good on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on liver and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.
BELTON: Water murky; 74-78 degrees; 9.07 feet low. Black bass are fair on crankbaits and Rat-L-Traps. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are good on minnows and white riversides under lights at night. Crappie are good on minnows and white riversides. Channel and blue catfish are good on hot dogs, shrimp, Spam and frozen shad. Yellow catfish are good on juglines baited with live perch. Boats, livewells and bait buckets must be drained of all water before leaving the area. BROWNWOOD: Water murky; 75-79 degrees; 10.62 feet low. Black bass are excellent on green pumpkin and redbug soft plastic worms and on craw colored crankbaits around docks in 1-5 feet. White bass are excellent on small spinnerbaits and crankbaits off lighted docks at night in 1-8 feet. Crappie are excellent on minnows and white or shad Li’l Fishies in 1-8 feet. Channel catfish are good on shrimp and cut shad over baited holes. Blue catfish are good on prepared bait in 5-10 feet Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with perch, shrimp and goldfish in 5-15 feet.
BUCHANAN: Water murky; 75-79 degrees; 27.65 feet low. Black bass are good on Daiquiri Skip-N-Pop topwaters, Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps and watermelon worms with chartreuse tails early in 4-12 feet. Striped bass are good on topwaters and Rat-L-Traps on the surface at first light in 20-30 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and Curb’s crappie jigs. Channel catfish are fair on live bait and cut bait. Yellow and blue catfish are good on juglines and trotlines baited with live bait.
CANYON LAKE: Water murky; 75-79 degrees; 8.07 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged watermelon red Whacky Sticks, chartreuse topwaters and pumpkin Curb’s Erratic jigs in 6-12 feet along bluff ledges. Striped bass are fair trolling Gizz 4 crankbaits and vertically jigging white Curb’s striper jigs. White bass are slow. Smallmouth bass are good on smoke/red tubes and silver flake Whacky Sticks along main lake points and ledges. Crappie are fair on white tube jigs and live minnows. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.
COLEMAN: Water clear; 74-78 degrees; 17.14 feet low. Black bass are good on watermelon red soft plastic lizards, crankbaits and electric blue worms. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are fair on live bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

White bass are good on shad colored Li’l Fishies. Crappie are good on minnows and green tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait, shrimp and liver.
GRANGER: Water stained; 77-81 degrees; 0.77 feet high. Black bass are slow. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies along shallow roadbeds. Crappie are very good on minnows over brush piles in 4-12 feet. Blue catfish are good on punchbait in 3-12 feet. Yellow catfish are very good on trotlines baited with live perch in the river.
LBJ: Water stained; 76-80 degrees; 0.28 feet low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse Senkos, Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps and weightless green pumpkin wacky rigged Whacky Sticks early in 4-10 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are very good on minnows and white Curb’s crappie jigs over brush piles in 10 feet. Channel catfish are good on minnows and dipbait. NORTHEAST
ATHENS: Water clear; 78-83 degrees; 0.02 feet low. Black bass are fair on weightless Senkos and Flukes. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are slow on trotlines.
BOB SANDLIN: Water clear; 78-82 degrees; 0.78 feet low. Black bass are good on topwaters and swimjigs near shallow cover. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on slabs. Catfish are good on trotlines and cut shad.
BONHAM: Water stained, 76-81 degrees; 2.52 feet low. Black bass are good on swimjigs, crankbaits and spinnerbaits on boat docks and rocky points. Crappie are good on jigs and minnows around the bridge. Catfish are good on jug lines with cut bait. All species are being caught from the fishing pier as well.
BRIDGEPORT: Water clear, 77-81 degrees; 22.35 feet low. Black bass are good on squarebill crankbaits in shad patterns. 1/4oz Yellow Magic poppers in yellow frog are still effective. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are fair on slabs and topwaters. Hybrid striper are good on slabs. Channel catfish are good on trotlines and rod and reel. FAIRFIELD: Fishing has been slow since the fish kill in September of 2010. TPWD has discontinued stocking the lake after another kill in early September 2011. Redfish and black bass survived the kill in limited numbers.
FORK: Water clear; 72-75 degrees; 3.09 feet low. Black bass are good on Strike King 10XDs, DD22s and Carolina rigged soft plastics - hollow body frogs around vegetation near deeper water catching good numbers. TRINITY BAY: Trout are fair at the spillway on plastics and shrimp. Redfish are good on live bait around the reefs. Trout are fair at the wells on plastics.
EAST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are good for drifters working deep shell on limetreuse and plum plastics. Trout are good on the south shoreline on topwaters. Trout are good around slicks and reefs.
WEST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are good in the surf on plastics and live bait. Sheepshead, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on shrimp and crabs.
TEXAS CITY: Trout are fair to good along the Ship Channel on live shrimp and croakers. Redfish and sheepshead have been found around the rocks and structure on shrimp.
FREEPORT: Trout are good at San Luis Pass on shrimp and MirrOlures. Trout and Spanish mackerel are good in the surf on live bait and artificials. Sand trout and sheepshead are good on live shrimp on the reefs in Christmas Bay. Offshore is good for red snapper and kingfish.
EAST MATAGORDA BAY: Trout are fair to good for drifters on live shrimp over humps and scattered shell. Redfish are fair to good on the edge of the Intracoastal on crabs and mullet.
WEST MATAGORDA BAY: Trout are good on sand and grass humps on soft plastics and topwaters. Redfish are good on topwaters and live shrimp in Oyster Lake.
PORT O’CONNOR: Trout and redfish are good on topwaters and live bait over sand, grass and shell in San Antonio Bay. Trout are good in the surf and at the jetty on croakers and live shrimp.
ROCKPORT: Trout are fair to good in the guts and channels on free-lined shrimp. Trout are fair over grass while drifting with live croakers. Redfish are good on mullet on the Estes Flats.
PORT ARANSAS: Trout, redfish and sheepshead are fair to good at the jetty on shrimp and croakers. Trout are good in the surf on topwaters and croakers. Red snapper are good offshore.
CORPUS CHRISTI: Trout are fair to good on the edge of the spoils on Gulps and live shrimp. Redfish are good in the potholes on shrimp. Trout are good in the surf on croakers.
BAFFIN BAY: Trout are good on topwaters and croakers around rocks and grass. Trout are fair to good while drifting the spoils on Bass Assassins, Trout Killers and Sand Eels.
PORT MANSFIELD: Trout are good on topwaters around sand and grass. Redfish are fair to good while drifting pot holes on shrimp and small topwaters. Offshore is good for red snapper and kingfish.
SOUTH PADRE: Redfish and trout are good around sand and grass in South Bay and along sand and grass. Trout and redfish are fair to good at the jetty on live bait
PORT ISABEL: Trout and redfish are fair to good at Airport Cove on topwaters and soft plastics. Trout are good on the deeper edges and flats on topwaters, DOA Shrimp and live shrimp.
