PALMER, Alaska (AP) - Alaska State Troopers say they’re investigating an incident of shots fired that wounded a woman at a Palmer home.

KTUU-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1kkZXe4 ) troopers were called shortly before 9 p.m. Friday after someone reported shots fired at a home near the Glenn Highway’s intersection with South Inner Springer Loop.

Investigators said multiple shots hit the house and a 69-year-old female was injured. AST spokeswoman Megan Peters said it’s not clear whether the woman was taken to a hospital. Peters said the woman most likely had minor, non-life-threatening injuries.



Investigators did not say why shots were fired, or whether the woman was the intended target.

Troopers are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call AST at 907-745-2131 or Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.
