LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming men’s and women’s basketball teams each had a player named to the All-Mountain West Conference first team.

Junior forward Larry Nance Jr. was named to the men’s first team on Monday as well as the league’s All-Defensive Team.

Nance was one of the top big men in the conference before suffering a season-ending torn ACL against Fresno State on Feb. 18. At the time of his injury, he ranked 11th in the Mountain West at 14.5 points per game, eighth with 7.8 rebounds, third with 1.7 steals, second at 2.8 blocks and first with 37.9 minutes.

Cowgirl junior forward Kayla Woodward, of Sheridan, was named to the All-Mountain West Women’s First Team on Sunday.

Woodward averaged a team leading 16.7 points a game.
