DELOIT, Iowa (AP) - Authorities are investigating the discovery of two bodies found in a burning building in the small western Iowa city of Deloit.

The Sioux City Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1ivXGsm ) firefighters found the bodies Monday. Officials say the bodies have been taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny to identify them.

Police weren’t releasing details about the incident.

The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and State Fire Marshal’s Office were assisting in the case.

Deloit is about 60 miles southeast of Sioux City.
