PEACHTREE CORNERS, Ga. (AP) - A missing suburban Atlanta girl has been found safe after a neighbor spotted her walking along a road.
Police said 12-year-old Kelsie Lee was found by a neighbor walking along West Jones Bridge Road on Monday night. WSB-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1cQGIBs) that the neighbor said she recognized the girl and asked her if she was Kelsie, and the girl said, “yes.”
Earlier, Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Edwin Ritter told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the search for in the immediate area near her house in Peachtree Corners had come to an end before nightfall on Monday. The girl was reported missing around 8:45 a.m.
Ritter said earlier that Kelsie didn’t have a history of running away, but investigators had not ruled that out as a factor in her disappearance.
