A New Jersey woman has been charged with manslaughter and assault after she allegedly botched a black-market butt lift, leaving her client to die after suffering from an apparent seizure.

Tamira Mobley, 28, an uncertified beautician, injected the buttocks of Tamara Blaine, 22, with silicone at the Liberty Hotel Inn on July 8, according to police. Ms. Mobley had paid for the room with her credit card, the New York Post reported.

Paramedics, called by a hotel worker, arrived to find Blaine having what appeared to be a seizure. Ms. Mobley disappeared after responders arrived.

Blaine was later pronounced dead at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Ms. Mobley was arrested Monday and is charged with first-degree assault and second-degree manslaughter. She admitted to having been with Blaine the day of her death but wouldn’t admit to illegally injecting her, the Post reported.
