WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) - Prosecutors want a jury to hear about what they allege is a history of domestic abuse committed by a northeastern Pennsylvania woman against the boyfriend she is charged with killing.

Thirty-year-old Jessica Alinsky has claimed her live-in boyfriend, Matthew Gailie, shot himself in the face during a dispute at their Hazle Township home in September 2011. She is charged with criminal homicide.

In court documents filed Monday, Luzerne County prosecutors are asking a judge to allow evidence outlining alleged incidents of domestic abuse between Alinsky and Gailie.

Prosecutors allege that during the 2-1/2 years they dated, Alinsky physically and verbally abused Gailie on numerous occasions.
