NEW YORK (AP) - The NYPD is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect who tried to lure a 12-year-old girl into his SUV.

Police say the incident occurred last Wednesday in the vicinity of 49th Street and Ditmars Boulevard in Astoria, Queens. They say a light-colored SUV pulled alongside the victim and attempted to get her to enter the vehicle.

The suspect fled when the child’s baby sitter approached.



Police have released a sketch of the suspect.
