WOODLAND, Wash. (AP) - Hungry sea lions have followed smelt up the Columbia River into some tributaries in southwest Washington.

The Columbian reports (https://bit.ly/1cQStgX ) feeding sea lions drew onlookers Monday in the Lewis River near Woodland.

Commercial and recreational smelt dipping seasons have closed in Washington after fishermen filled their nets on a big run this year of the small fish.
