BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - Bailey Greer scored 20 points as Marshall County defeated Perry County Central 54-38 in the first round of the KHSAA Girls’ Sweet 16.

Greer also had four steals for Marshall County (31-5) on Thursday, which will play Corbin-Clark County on Friday at Diddle Arena.

Allie York followed Greer with 16 points and nine rebounds.

The Region 1 champion Lady Marshals led 11-2 and made five 3-pointers in the first half for a 14-point advantage at the break.

Kayla Rankin scored 11 points for Perry County Central (23-7) and had eight rebounds. Perri Coots added nine points and four rebounds.



The Region 14 champion Lady Commodores lost for the first time since Jan. 24 and ended their 13-game winning streak.
