YORK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Police say a 34-year-old snowmobiler has died after another snowmobile struck him in Washtenaw County.

Police say the crash happened around 12:30 a.m. Thursday in York Township, about 35 miles southwest of Detroit.

Police identify him as Andrew J. Kargel of Saline. The Ann Arbor News (https://bit.ly/1cWxkSi ) says he was a teacher in the Linden Public Schools.



State police Sgt. Mark Thompson says two snowmobilers were riding on a road, with one following the other. Thompson says Kargel fell off and was struck by the second snowmobile.

The crash remains under investigation.
