COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a 41-year-old man stole thousands of dollars of televisions and video game equipment from a players’ lounge at Williams-Brice stadium in Columbia.

Investigators say officers checking on a suspicious vehicle at the stadium Sunday found six televisions, a Sony PlayStation and a Microsoft Xbox taken from the lounge used by University of South Carolina football players.

Authorities say the suspicious car wasn’t linked to the theft, but they gathered enough evidence to charge Manwell Bookhart with three counts of burglary, two counts of larceny and two counts of malicious injury to property.

Investigators didn’t say what link if any that Bookhart had with the stadium or the football program.

It wasn’t known if Bookhart had a lawyer.
