SPEARFISH, S.D. (AP) - Authorities have called off the search for a missing Spearfish man.

Police Lt. Boyd Dean says searchers are confident that they have adequately covered the 5-square-mile area known as Lookout Mountain, and there will be no more search missions for 26-year-old Robert Johnson unless more evidence materializes.

Johnson has not been seen since the night of March 7. Hikers found some of his belongings on Lookout Mountain, prompting the search involving about two dozen people.

Authorities say Johnson might have been dealing with mental health or substance abuse problems. No foul play is suspected in his disappearance.
