SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. (AP) - A Spokane Valley man who reported he had been stabbed by an intruder last month while working in his garage now admits he stabbed himself.
The Spokane County sheriff’s office says the 21-year-old changed his story Thursday under questioning by detectives.
He said he was upset about breaking up with his girlfriend and wanted attention. He says he conducted research on the Internet to stage the crime scene.
