OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Austin Guinn had 30 points and nine rebounds to help No. 1 Okemah defeat No. 2 Oklahoma Centennial 54-53 in two overtimes in the Class 3A boys state final Saturday.

Okemah (29-1), which lost in last year’s state final, held Centennial scoreless in the second extra period.

Malcolm Mitchell, Jr., scored 14 points, Corneilus McKiver scored 13 and Austin Garner had 11 points, nine rebounds and four blocks for the Bison (26-3).

Guinn hit a stepback 3-pointer in the third quarter to trim Centennial’s lead to 39-34. He drained a 3-pointer with 36 seconds left in regulation to tie the score. His contested three with 25 seconds left in the first overtime forced a second overtime, and he made the first of two free throws to provide the final margin.
