HUTCHINSON, Kan. (AP) - Grant Raleigh scored 22 points and Ryan Schadler added 14, as Hesston put together a late run to defeat Beloit 59-54 and claim the Kansas Class 3A boys state title on Saturday.

Beloit was trailing 46-38 late, but rallied back to lead 53-52 with 1:03 remaining. Raleigh answered with a 3-pointer to put Hesston back on top, and added two free throws with 10.3 seconds left to close the game on a 7-1 run.

Hesston shot 47.6 percent from the field, with Raleigh hitting four of their seven 3-pointers. Justin Smith finished with nine points and 11 boards.

Payton Vetter led Beloit with 19 points and Bailey Vetter chipped in 13.

With the win, Hesston sweeps the 3A titles, as the Hesston girls defeated Lyons 46-36 earlier Saturday.
