LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities have identified one of the two young men killed after a pickup truck hit the back of their moped in Las Vegas and then fled the scene.

Clark County coroner’s officials say 21-year-old passenger Phillip Le Nguyen died at the scene of the crash about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday on Las Vegas Boulevard north of Blue Diamond Road. The 20-year-old moped driver’s name has not yet been released.

Police say a 2008 Ford pickup was going fast when the vehicle hit the scooter while it was stopped at a stop light.

Officials say the truck driver kept going with the moped wedged underneath before hitting another car and abandoning the pickup about a half mile away. Police say they traced the registration to a home, but nobody answered the door.
