CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Anthony Eades scored 19 points, Lykel Collier added 17 and defending champion Bluefield beat Chapmanville 63-34 in the boys Class AA quarterfinals Wednesday at the Charleston Civic Center.

Third-seeded Bluefield (23-2) advanced to the semifinals for the third straight year.

Josh Butcher led sixth-seeded Chapmanville (20-6) with 16 points, while Kenny Plumley had 11 rebounds. The Tigers saw their eight-game winning streak snapped. They were playing the tournament for the first time, committed 25 turnovers and were held to a season low for points.

Bluefield scored 30 points off those turnovers, made 17 steals and had 30 points inside the paint.

After Chapmanville scored the game’s first basket, Bluefield went on a 10-0 run to pull away. The Beavers led 34-13 at halftime.
