WOONSOCKET, R.I. (AP) - Police in Rhode Island say a 30-year-old woman set fire to her boyfriend’s multifamily home in a rage over his alleged affair with another woman.

Corinne Latraverse was charged with first-degree arson after the Woonsocket house went up in flames Saturday. She’s detained without bail.

Police say Latraverse was outside the home with her three children and two dogs when firefighters arrived. Authorities say she lived there with her boyfriend, who is the children’s father and owns the property.

Latraverse was treated at a hospital for inhalation burns and later transferred to police custody.

Authorities told The Woonsocket Call (https://bit.ly/OvTxLH ) that two firefighters suffered minor injuries when they fell through a floor fighting the blaze, and a cat died in the fire.

It’s not clear if Latraverse has a lawyer.
