CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - J.T. Rogoszewski scored 21 points to lead Hurricane to a 63-47 win over South Charleston in the boys Class AAA quarterfinals Wednesday.

Trey Dawson added 12 points while Henry Sorsaia had 11 points and 11 rebounds for seventh-seeded Hurricane (20-6).

Second-seeded South Charleston defeated Hurricane earlier this season 74-62 and entered the tournament on a 20-game winning streak.



A.D. Cunningham and Jonah Cosby scored 11 points apiece for the Black Eagles (24-2).

South Charleston was plagued with foul trouble much of the game. Brandon Knapper was held to a season-low two points on 1-of-12 shooting.

Hurricane closed the first quarter with a 10-0 run to jump ahead 17-12 and never trailed the rest of the game.
