TULSA, Okla. (AP) - The head of a Tulsa-based manufacturing firm is being honored this week as the 2014 Small Businessperson of the Year in Oklahoma.

Larry Mocha, the CEO of APSCO Inc., is accepting the honor from the U.S. Small Business Administration.

With that award, Mocha will now compete for national honors in Washington, D.C., with winners to be announced during National Small Business Week in May.



Mocha serves on the Tulsa Regional Chamber board of directors and is chairman of the Chamber’s Manufacturers Council.

He’s also chairman of the Center for Legislative Excellence and is a past chairman of the State Chamber of Oklahoma and Tulsa’s Economic Development Commission.
