SPEARFISH, S.D. (AP) - A western South Dakota man has pleaded not guilty to felony charges in connection with a robbery at a convenience store and other incidents.

The Black Hills Pioneer (https://bit.ly/1oAOR3V ) reports that 25-year-old Tyler Weiers faces two counts of grand theft, and one count each of robbery, burglary and possession of methamphetamine.

The Lawrence County sheriff’s office arrested the Spearfish man last month following the robbery.

Authorities say Weiers armed with a knife entered the Fresh Start Valley Corner store in Spearfish in the early morning hours of Feb. 5 and demanded cash from a clerk. He fled with an undisclosed amount.

Authorities also claim Weiers stole equipment from a construction company.

He is being held in a $100,000 bond. It is unclear whether he has an attorney.
