MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Miami goalie Ryan McKay made 32 saves as the surging RedHawks beat North Dakota 3-0 Friday in the semifinals of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference.
Blake Coleman scored what proved to be the game-winner at 11:24 of the first period. The RedHawks scored one goal in each period.
Austin Czarnik scored with 26 seconds left in the second period. Anthony Louis added a goal in the third.
North Dakota goalie Zane Gothberg made 25 saves.
UND beat Miami 9-2 the last time the two teams met. But the RedHawks knocked off NCHC regular season champion St. Cloud State in two games last weekend and now ousted second-seed North Dakota.
Miami (15-19-3) will play Denver for the NCHC title on Saturday. North Dakota (22-13-3) will play Western Michigan for third place.
