HAGATNA, Guam (AP) - Police in Guam say an investigation into a missing rocket launcher led them to arrest three men who were allegedly planning to commit a robbery and a homicide.

Pacific Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1fbxYXu ) that police also on Friday recovered the rocket launcher when they served a warrant on a home. The weapon had gone missing from a U.S. Air Force base in South Korea. Police say it wasn’t going to be used in either crime.

Police say their efforts foiled the men’s plan to rob a game room. They aren’t releasing details on the alleged homicide plan.

Court documents say the man who turned over the rocket launcher to police had tried and failed to sell it. Police are still investigating in the case.
