ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A Superior Court judge has been appointed to preside over Alaska’s Third Judicial District.
KTUU (https://is.gd/3yxtUb) reports that Judge William F. Morse will begin his new post April 15.
The current presiding judge, Superior Court Judge Sen Tan, is officially set to retire July 1.
Morse, as presiding judge for a one-year term, will supervise the assignment of cases and administrative actions of judges and court personnel. Other duties include reviewing and recommending budgets.
The district is administered from Anchorage and covers southcentral Alaska, including Anchorage, Palmer, Kodiak, Kenai and Unalaska.
