CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) - A custody agreement has been reached for the 5-year-old daughter of a Boston Red Sox broadcaster’s son and a woman the son is charged with killing.

Jared Remy, son of Boston Red Sox broadcaster Jerry Remy, has pleaded not guilty to fatally stabbing Jennifer Martel at their apartment Aug. 15, when their daughter was at home. Attorneys said Tuesday that Martel family members will be Arianna Remy’s guardians, but she will also spend time with the Remys.

Jerry Remy attended a family court hearing Tuesday with his wife and the Martels. Both families had sought custody. Their attorneys told reporters outside court they are satisfied.

An independent review criticized prosecutors’ handling of abuse allegations against 35-year-old Jared Remy. He was released from custody after allegedly pushing 27-year-old Martel into a mirror two days before the killing.
