SUMTER, S.C. (AP) - Investigators say a 50-year-old man shot another man a Sumter home after an argument about a missing bottle of liquor.
Sumter County sheriff’s deputies found 26-year-old Shamarr Howell dead on the front porch of the home around 11 p.m. Tuesday.
Jeffrey Andrews has been charged with murder. Deputies say he told them the men started arguing over the missing liquor bottle, and it escalated into a fistfight. Andrews told officers that he ordered Howell to leave his home several times and shot him when he refused.

Andrews remains in jail. It wasn’t known if he had a lawyer.
