ALBANY, Ore. (AP) - The Linn County sheriff’s office says a 27-year-old Lebanon, Ore., man indicted in the January death of his 3-month-old son has been arrested on a charge of murder by abuse.

The Register-Guard reports (https://is.gd/gi9LS7 ) that deputies arrested Kyle Brown on Thursday, a day after a grand jury heard testimony from more than 20 witnesses and then issued indictments alleging murder by abuse and first-degree manslaughter. No bail was set.

Deputies responded to Brown’s home on Jan. 21 after a 911 call about an unresponsive infant. Little Wade Brown was taken to a hospital, where he died.

The sheriff’s office says an investigation showed Brown, his wife and a 19-month-old daughter were at the home. The little girl was taken into protective custody.

The sheriff’s office says Kyle Brown was briefly alone with his son and his wife called 911 after finding the boy unresponsive.
