BREA, Calif. (AP) - Police have arrested one suspect and are searching for another after a smash-and-grab robbery at an Orange County jewelry store.

KABC-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1loAi4E ) the suspects used hammers to smash display cases at the store in Brea Mall Wednesday night.

Brea police say the pair escaped with Rolex watches.

One of the suspects was taken into custody following a short foot chase but the second person got away.

Hammers and a bag containing some watches were found in bushes near the mall but police say it’s not known if all the merchandise was recovered.
