NEWARK, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have charged a Virginia man with drug offenses after three pounds of marijuana were found in a car during a traffic stop.

It happened about 2:50 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 95 in Newark. Police say two troopers saw a car make abrupt lane changes south of the toll plaza and stopped the driver.

Police say troopers smelled marijuana. Officers say a search of the vehicle turned up several vacuumed-sealed bags containing a total of more than three pounds of marijuana.

Thirty-one-year-old Anthony Cespedes of Fairfax, Va., was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and other offenses.
