SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Michael Oguine had 26 points and 13 rebounds in Chaminade’s 71-49 victory over Sir Francis Drake in the California Division III boys’ championship at Sleep Train Arena.

Justin Eisen scored 15 points and Trevor Stanback added 12 points for the Chaminade Eagles (27-0) of West Hills.

Jesse Hunt led the Sir Francis Drake Pirates (26-8) of San Anselmo with 16 points.

After a 3-3 tie, Chaminade built a 33-17 margin with 1:52 left in the second quarter.

Sir Francis Drake was behind by 19 points in the third quarter until the Pirates bounced back to cut Chaminade’s 55-42 lead to end the period.

The Eagles amped up their defense and slowed down the clock on offense in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
