NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - The company that provides food service at the Charleston International Airport has told its 63 employees they will be laid off May 31.

The Post and Courier of Charleston reported (https://bit.ly/1dz7oMw ) that SSP America Inc. of Lansdowne, Va., did not submit a bid last year to continue the contract it has had since 2008.

The Charleston County Aviation Authority has awarded a 10-year contract to Delaware North Companies of Buffalo, N.Y.

SSP America operates Dunkin Donuts, Lowcountry Grill and Magnolia Bar & Grill outside the security check points at the airport. Beyond the security check points, the choices include Great American Bagel, Cafe Fresca, Runway Bar and two Samuel Adams locations.

Delaware North plans include Caviar & Bananas, Wendy’s, Charleston Beer Works and DeSano Pizza Bakery and Bar.
