LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in Lake Havasu City say they’ve discovered an apparent boat chop shop operation and arrested a man in the case.

Police served a search warrant Thursday night at a Lake Havasu business and arrested 41-year-old Randolph Letcher Jr.

He’s being held on suspicion of conducting a chop shop and possession of stolen property plus drug charges after police reported finding methamphetamine in their searches of Letcher’s business and home.

Police say Letcher owns Jet Boats Plus in Lake Havasu City and rents a space in an RV park near Blythe, Calif.

A Riverside County Sheriff’s detective located a stolen trailer and boat on Letcher’s space.

Police say the trailer had been reported stolen out of Lake Havasu City in July 2013 and the boat was reported stolen last month.
