NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Police in Norman say a man who was shot in the face during a home invasion has died.

Police said in a news release Friday that 24-year-old Justin Barnard of Norman died at Norman Regional Hospital where he was taken following the shooting about 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police say Barnard was at a home with a woman when three vehicles arrived at the home and several people wearing masks got out and kicked in the front door then shot Barnard once before taking the woman’s wallet and leaving.

Police say investigators believe the shooting is related to an incident in Oklahoma City on Wednesday night that involved an argument between Barnard and his girlfriend.
