LAKE VILLAGE, Ark. (AP) - Severe thunderstorms raked the southern half of Arkansas, briefly causing street flooding, dropping egg-sized hail and triggering a tornado warning.

Emergency managers and storm spotters reported the large hail, including broken windows after a storm passed through Fordyce in Dallas County and nearby Kingsland in Cleveland County. Hail the size of golf balls was reported at Camden, Lake Village and Warren.

Tornado warnings were posted Friday evening for Ashley and Chicot counties after radar suggested twisters passed southwest of Portland and southeast of Lake Village. There were no immediate reports of damage. The area had a tornado in December.

High winds also threatened the area, with forecasters saying some storms could contain 60 mph gusts.

Parts of Little Rock saw street flooding when a severe storm passed through at mid-afternoon.
