DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - The University of Dayton is sending out a warning to students who will be on campus watching the Flyers play for a spot in the Final Four.

This comes after police say 28 people were arrested Thursday night following Dayton’s victory over Stanford in the NCAA tournament. The Flyers take on Florida Saturday night, with the winter going to the Final Four.

Police say bottles and cans were thrown at officers in riot gear Thursday night as they were trying to disperse the dancing and screaming crowds.

Police also tell The Dayton Daily News that one officer was punched in the mouth while making an arrest.

Twelve Dayton students were among those arrested.

School officials say students who are arrested could be suspended or kicked out of the university.
