PONCA, Neb. (AP) - Ponca State Park will be the site of an Outdoor Cooking Camp next month.

Topics and activities will include campfire cooking, Dutch oven cooking, cedar plank salmon and trout, wild game sausage, catfish cleaning and cooking, fireplace cooking and venison cooking. There will be youth classes.

The camp is scheduled for April 11-13. The cost is $50 for adults, $35 for children 12 and under. The fee includes instruction, program materials, use of demonstration equipment, and meals.

Participants will get a 30 percent discount on lodging and camping and a 20 percent discount on outdoor cooking equipment at the park’s gift shop.
