SUITLAND, Md. (AP) - Prince George’s County police are investigating an armed robbery at Suitland home where a resident fatally shot one of the suspects.

Police say officers were called to the home on Shadyside Avenue on Friday evening. Investigators say two armed and masked men apparently forced their way into an apartment and tried to rob the residents at gunpoint.

During the robbery, one resident began struggling with a suspect over his gun. During the fight, the suspect was shot. The suspects fled, and the injured suspect was taken to a firehouse. He died later at a hospital.

Police identified the deceased suspect as 26-year-old Dexter John Manigault of Washington.

Two other suspects in the robbery are identified as 19-year-old Daquawn Lubin of Arlington, Va., and 27-year-old Michael William Hall of Washington.
