FORT MORGAN, Ala. (AP) - Crews are searching for a missing fisherman who fell from a pier in Fort Morgan in south Alabama.

Al.com reports (https://bit.ly/1gavZ5e) that the search resumed Saturday after scouring the waters during the overnight hours yielded no results.

Baldwin County Maj. Anthony Lowery said the Foley man in his mid-20s somehow fell around 11 p.m. Friday while fishing with friends.

Lowery said the friends threw the man a net and one man jumped in after him. When those efforts were unsuccessful, a third man dove into the water. Only two of them swam back to the pier.

Early Saturday morning, the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Morgan Volunteer Fire Department and the U.S. Coast Guard resumed searching for the man.
