PERU, Maine (AP) - A Peru man is facing charges after a more than four-hour standoff at his home.

Police say 40-year-old Corey Taylor was charged with two counts of domestic violence after surrendering at about 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

A Maine State Police tactical team was called to the scene at about midnight after Taylor allegedly threatened a family member via text messages and emails.

No one else was in the home and no one was hurt.

It was unclear if Taylor was armed.

Taylor is being held at Oxford County Jail on $1,000 bail and it was not clear if he had a lawyer.

The standoff remains under investigation and police say more charges are possible.
