DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) - A 29-year-old Iowa man has been sentenced to nearly 6 years in federal prison for possessing child pornography.

The Quad-City Times reports (https://bit.ly/P7NrBB ) Matthew Scott Hiles was sentenced Friday to five years and 10 months in prison.

Hiles pleaded guilty in November.

Davenport police arrested Hiles last April after investigators traced pornographic imaged to one of his computers. More examples of child pornography were found on his computer after it was searched.

The Davenport man will be required to register as a sex offender after his release from prison.
