LINCOLN, Ill. (AP) - An autopsy has been performed on the body of a 58-year-old central Illinois man who was killed after he was struck by an Amtrak passenger train.

The (Springfield) State Journal-Register reports (https://bit.ly/1oeh1Fo ) Thomas Pegram died Friday evening after the being hit in Lincoln.

The Logan County coroner’s office says the initial cause of death for the Lincoln man was blunt force trauma.

The newspaper says results of the autopsy haven’t yet been released.
